Job Summary

The primary purpose of this Relief Veterinarian role is to provide high-quality care to pets, ensuring their safety and well-being. As a key member of the Banfield team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to clients, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain relevant information from clients and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Provide professional and efficient service, including prescribing and administering preventative care for pets.
  • Effectively communicate diagnosis and treatment plans to the veterinary medical team and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including proper maintenance of controlled substance inventory logs.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • License in good standing with the applicable state veterinary board.
  • License with the Drug Enforcement Agency required.
