Bowman Williams is a dynamic Managed Services Provider seeking an experienced IT System Engineer to oversee critical escalations and contribute to infrastructure enhancement initiatives.
The role of IT System Engineer is vital to our operations, directly impacting our clients and supporting our expansion. In this position, you will be tasked with the installation, repair, and upkeep of servers, computers, peripherals, and networking equipment, whether on-site or via remote access. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing network systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements as needed.
Key Responsibilities and Required Expertise:
- Proficient in Managed Services (MSP) with a solid understanding of best practices for maintaining efficient IT systems; a minimum of 1 year of experience in managed services is required.
- Experience in deploying and managing Microsoft 365 (M365) environments, with a proven track record of successfully migrating business email to M365.
- Skilled in optimizing all aspects of network infrastructure, including hardware and software components.
- Experience in building and deploying file servers and cloud solutions; familiarity with Windows Server 2016 and newer, as well as VMware and Azure implementations, is advantageous.
- Knowledgeable in implementing and monitoring network security measures, including firewall and VPN setup and configuration.
- Capable of performing troubleshooting for network infrastructure, including Windows Server issues.
- Expertise in designing local area networks for businesses, including WiFi installation and configuration.
- Proficient in configuring and deploying VoIP solutions, with comfort in both physical installation and configuration.
