Engineering Advisor

The Engineering Advisor coordinates and manages projects on site, providing consulting, training, and support services to customers and employees. They oversee the application of shoring equipment with hydraulic system designs and technical shoring layouts, for job sites such as trenching and excavation.

• Provide on-site installation and technical support, reading blueprints to advise customers on the best way to install equipment.
• Advise project managers and sales teams on formulating plans for installation projects and educate on properly identifying slide rail/beam and plate opportunities.
• Assess construction phases, job situations, and project conditions for timing the approach of customers and rental product application suggestions.
• Discuss customer needs, suggest the most suitable equipment for the application, and be the source of information for our customers and engineering team about related equipment and services available in the local market.
• Fleet Inspection and ensuring damaged or repairs are reported and completed in a timely manner. Ensure job boxes are ready for the specific project; loaded with correct rigging, shackles, and related materials.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and charged back to the customer if lost.
• Communicate effectively with customers for the timely execution of the Order Verification process.
• Educate employees and customers on the safe and proper installation/extraction and use of protective systems.
• Supports engineering team with quality assurance as needed.
• Assists the estimating team with project schedule, budget, and cost parameters by providing technical input as needed.
• Assists the development of design drawings and provides technical input, as needed.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering systems or operations, preferably in trench shoring or the construction industry.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
