Certification is preferred but not required.

Position Overview

The Wellness Associate role, under the guidance of the Wellness Director and Manager, involves delivering tailored services and care to each resident in accordance with their individual service plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
  • Monitoring residents' health and alerting the Wellness Director of any changes
  • Managing medical supplies and assisting with orders
  • Supporting in arranging coverage for unexpected shifts
  • Helping onboard new team members
  • Responding to emergencies and providing necessary medical assistance
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in residents' living spaces
  • Attending to residents' needs in a timely manner
  • Assisting with meal service, selection, and feeding
  • Participating in recreational programs
  • Keeping accurate records and documentation
  • Engaging in ongoing education through in-service training
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Compliance and Safety:

  • Following emergency procedures and safety protocols
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Current State Nurse's Aide registration
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with seniors
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Maintaining good physical and emotional health

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift as necessary
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Potential use of specialized equipment
