Position Overview

The Wellness Associate position, reporting to the Wellness Director and Manager, focuses on delivering personalized services and care tailored to each resident's unique service plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
  • Monitoring residents' health and promptly informing the Wellness Director of any changes
  • Managing medical supplies and assisting with orders
  • Facilitating coverage for unexpected shifts
  • Helping onboard new team members
  • Responding to emergencies and providing necessary medical assistance
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in residents' living spaces
  • Attending to residents' needs in a timely manner
  • Assisting with meal service, selection, and feeding
  • Participating in activity programs
  • Keeping accurate records and files
  • Engaging in ongoing education through in-service training
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Compliance and Safety:

  • Following emergency procedures and safety protocols
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Current State Nurse's Aide registration
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with seniors
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Maintaining good physical and emotional health

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift as necessary
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Potential use of specialized equipment
