Job Title: Senior Skate Instructor

Join the Eden Prairie Community Center team as a Senior Skate Instructor and share your passion for ice skating with others

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ice skating instructor to lead group, private, and semi-private Skate School classes at our state-of-the-art ice rink. As a Senior Skate Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, ensuring participant safety, and promoting a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of on-ice Learn to Skate USA classes and levels
  • Monitor participant well-being and provide quality service
  • Assume a leadership role as a professional in the area of ice skating
  • Encourage participants to continue with learn to skate activities and other ice-related opportunities
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment at all times
  • Enforce facility and program policies, rules, and regulations
  • Assist with set-up and tear-down of the Skate School area
  • Arrive prepared for assigned classes
Requirements
  • US Figure Skating CER Category C compliance required
  • Current membership in good standing with US Figure Skating and the Professional Skaters Association
  • CPR (infant, child, and adult) and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment
  • Learn to Skate USA membership within 30 days of employment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching group learn to skate classes
  • Experience teaching Learn to Skate USA or ISI classes preferred
