We are seeking an experienced Wound Care RN to join our team

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled Wound Care professional to manage our preventative wound program and wound treatment programs. The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with 3-5 years of experience in New York, with a strong background in wound care and certification preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage preventative wound program and wound treatment programs
  • Ensure accuracy in documentation and information provided to physicians, residents, and their responsible parties
  • Complete weekly wound analysis reports
  • Provide patient, family, and staff education on wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections, and other therapies
  • Be a resource person for physicians, wound team, and clinical staff
  • Conduct wound rounds weekly and provide report to the Director of Nursing
Requirements
  • Registered Nursing in New York - 3-5 years' experience
  • Wound Certification is preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in Wound Care at a SNF
  • Basic knowledge regarding the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, arterial, venous, and diabetic wounds, as well as other wounds such as surgical wounds
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Flexible and dependable
  • Able to work independently and efficiently
  • Familiar with Electronic Medical Records (Sigma Care)
