Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist III to join our team at Sutter Health. As a CT Technologist III, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Competently perform CT procedures to produce accurate images for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients.
- Work independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure patient satisfaction and cooperation.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and policies to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- May assist in orienting new staff members to the department and performing specific procedures as needed.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
- CA CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist certification.
- BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
- 5 years of experience in clinical and practical CT Tech work, preferably in a similar environment.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- General knowledge of diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
- Ability to perform routine CT examinations and understand human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information to diverse audiences.
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures.
- General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems.
Work Environment:
This position may regularly work with hazardous or potentially hazardous drugs, as identified by NIOSH for purposes of USP 800.
