Job Title: Registered Nurse - Post-Surgical Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post-Surgical Unit team at North Central Surgical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Post-Surgical Unit will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients recovering from surgery. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients recovering from surgery, including administering medications, performing wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, including communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning to ensure patients receive the necessary information and support to manage their care at home.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and a culture of excellence.
Requirements:
  • Current Texas Nursing License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • At least 1-2 years of experience as an RN in a hospital MedSurg/Telemetry, Critical Care, Emergency, or ICU department
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors, and the public
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change, creativity, and innovation
