Summary:
This position will lead and specialize in their assigned content area(s) and work with district IT technicians in maintaining and repairing IT systems and related equipment. This position will require specializing in, organizing, documenting, supporting and administering assigned system(s), hardware, software and related processes. You will coordinate projects with and support the technology department in its goals to provide high quality service and solutions to support the academic and operational goals of the district. You will provide technical assistance and training to end-users, including staff and students, and system(s) that you specialize in as well as a wide range of other IT systems.

This position's primary speciality at this time is: MacOS and MDM support

Reports To: Technology Director

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Must be a team-oriented person with the ability to lead projects and systems as well as work independently
  • Responsible for specializing in and for the installation, organization, documentation, monitoring,management, troubleshooting and repair of assigned system(s) and components.
  • Evaluate, recommend, install, document, maintain and troubleshoot IT related hardware and software following installation specifications and best practices, including but not limited to: Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, business software, educational software, desktop computers, laptops, monitors, interactive displays, digital signage, printers, peripherals, battery backups, phones, network connections and components
  • Ability to document inventory, service related and other records with detail and accuracy
  • IT personnel and end-user troubleshooting, support and assistance
  • Establish and maintain professional and productive working relationships with end-users, technology staff, managers, directors and other personnel
  • Safely load, unload, move and stack IT equipment including bulky and/or heavy items
  • Safely drive an automobile on district business
  • Maintain good punctuality and attendance to work
  • Assist in collecting district-wide data for use in contemplating district-wide technology initiatives
  • Provide consultation to the technology department and others as needed regarding the integration of curriculum, technology and security
  • Immediately report and assist as needed in investigating suspected security breaches
  • Promptly report safety and security issues to the Technology Director
  • Handle confidential information with complete security
  • Maintain data integrity and security
  • Operate in coordination with the Network Administrator and other IT Systems Specialists
  • Maintain currency of technical skills and knowledge
  • Achieve a nationally recognized technical certification in your specialization(s)
  • Maintain appropriate personal and professional conduct at all times around students, staff and the general public
  • Regularly exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of other essential job functions.
  • Adhere to all district policies
  • Cross-train as directed by the Technology Director or their designee
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Technology Director
Experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in an IT support role is required
  • 1 or more years experience in an IT lead role is desired
  • Experience with the following will help you succeed in this role: MacOS, Windows 10+, JAMF, Programming/Scripting (Bash, Powershell, Google Apps Script), Data manipulation
Primary Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of State, FBI and Child Maltreatment background checks
  • Education:
    • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
    • Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school): Preferred Field of Study:Information Technology or related field
    • Bachelor's Degree (two year college or technical school): Preferred Field of Study: Information Technology or related field
  • Available to infrequently work extended hours or adjust regular hours as necessary
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
