About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Monitor Specialist to join our team at University of Maryland Medical System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms, providing critical support to our medical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and identify any abnormalities or life-threatening conditions.
  • Provide critical support to medical staff by maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical technologies and techniques.

Requirements

  • Certification in Dysrhythmia Interpretation from an approved program or completion of a hospital-based course.
  • Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
  • Previous experience as a monitor technician or nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
