Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients in an inpatient or outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments to identify patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized nutrition care plans.
  • Provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to patients, including counseling and education on healthy eating habits and disease management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay up-to-date on the latest nutrition research and best practices.
  • Supervise and mentor dietetic interns in the practice of medical nutrition therapy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program.
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligibility for registration within 6 months of hire.
  • State certification as a dietitian-nutritionist, as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
