The Downtown Women's Center is seeking a skilled Volunteer Program Manager to lead our volunteer program and promote a culture of volunteerism throughout the agency. This role will work closely with program staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities, recruit, train, and schedule volunteers, and steward relationships with our volunteer community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer program strategy to meet the needs of the Downtown Women's Center.
- Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers to support program operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, donors, and community partners.
- Collaborate with program staff to identify volunteer opportunities and develop strategies to engage volunteers.
- Manage volunteer databases and track volunteer engagement and activities.
- Develop and implement volunteer recognition and appreciation programs.
- Provide excellent customer service to volunteers, donors, and community partners.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Two years of experience in volunteer management or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
