This role will work closely with program staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities, recruit, train, and schedule volunteers, and steward relationships with our volunteer community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer program strategy to meet the needs of the Downtown Women's Center.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers to support program operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, donors, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify volunteer opportunities and develop strategies to engage volunteers.
  • Manage volunteer databases and track volunteer engagement and activities.
  • Develop and implement volunteer recognition and appreciation programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to volunteers, donors, and community partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of experience in volunteer management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
