Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York. As a key member of our trauma care team, you will provide advanced surgical expertise in the treatment of complex orthopedic trauma cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform surgery on complex orthopedic cases, including pelvic fractures, complex long bone and intra-articular fractures, and complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities.
  • Participate in the emergency call schedule for orthopedic surgery and provide 24-hour, 7-day per week emergency on-call coverage.
  • Participate in the ACS trauma multi-disciplinary activities, including data collection and compliance issues required for a level I trauma center.
  • Teach orthopedic surgery residents, medical students, physicians assistants, and other personnel.
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient surgical and non-surgical care for complex orthopedic trauma cases.
  • Serve as the orthopedic trauma representative to the multi-disciplinary trauma meetings and participate in providing 24-hour, 7-day per week emergency on-call coverage.
Requirements
  • Current licensed NYS registration certificate.
  • Graduate of an approved medical school (Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship trained Board Eligible or Certified Orthopedic Surgeon).
