Job Title: Supervising Radiologic Technologist II

Job Summary:

The County of Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Radiologic Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for supervising a team of radiologic technologists and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize radiographic and related services in multiple units or a diagnostic radiology department.
  • Develop, under medical direction, and implement radiographic procedures for standard application in specialized areas.
  • Evaluate the work of assigned personnel and counsel them on their performance.
  • Establish sound working relationships with other disciplines within the hospital.
  • Investigate and resolve radiography image quality and other service problems that affect other hospital functions.
  • Review equipment test results and radiographic examinations in process to ensure conformance with State regulations governing the safe use of radiographic equipment.
  • Investigate equipment malfunctions and verify the need for maintenance or repair.

Requirements:

  • One year's experience as a supervisor of radiologic technologists.
  • Certification as a radiologic technologist issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.
  • A radiologic technologist fluoroscopy permit issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.
  • A current, active certification in accordance with the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be required to work any shift, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
