GENERAL FUNCTIONS
The Senior Production Planner and Buyer is tasked with strategizing and executing the department's initiatives for product launches in Manufacturing. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, engineering, and manufacturing, to ascertain material and demand needs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze, plan, and execute all material requirements across various eyewear categories, including active eyewear.
  • Build and nurture supplier relationships to ensure adherence to completion timelines based on master sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Utilize data and systems to manage inventory levels, optimizing manufacturing production plans.
  • Review and coordinate MRP suggestions to align with MPS timelines.
  • Collaborate with Planner Buyer(s) to generate purchase orders that support MPS requirements and production objectives.
  • Expedite critical supplier orders that could lead to significant delays or financial repercussions for the business due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Develop and maintain robust partnerships with local and overseas suppliers to ensure optimal value, quality, and timely delivery for inventory levels that support production plans.
  • Prepare procurement reports for the Management team using available data.
  • Lead and/or engage in lean initiatives (Consignment Inventory, Kanban Inventory).
  • Partner with the NPI team to support and lead Table of 4 project initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Production purchasing and/or planning and MRP within a manufacturing setting.
  • 3+ years in procurement and managing strategic purchases with a proven track record of improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • APICS CPIM and/or CPM certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.

Pay Range: 80,544.40. Employee compensation is influenced by various factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage regulations.
