Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, United States Cortica Full time

Cortica is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Interventionist to enhance our dynamic team.

In this position, you will deliver direct behavioral therapy services to individuals with autism, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative and expanding healthcare organization.

As a rapidly evolving healthcare provider, we are at the forefront of developing effective treatment strategies for children with neurodevelopmental differences. Our mission is to create and implement transformative care – one child, one family, one community at a time. We envision a future that nurtures the full potential of every child, and every team member plays a vital role in achieving this vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Cortica's orientation and complete the Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) training.
  • Deliver direct behavior-analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental challenges in both individual and group settings.
  • Apply positive behavior strategies developed in collaboration with the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Implement treatment plans and strategies based on assessments conducted with the BCBA.
  • Provide care in various environments, including home, community, school, and clinic settings, as outlined in the child's assessment and treatment plan.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including data collection on strategies and goals, and complete session notes during therapy sessions.
  • Assist in individualized assessment procedures through preference assessments and data collection.
  • Collaborate with families and supervisors to create a supportive environment for treatment and education across all care settings.
  • Adhere to Cortica's crisis and emergency protocols, including de-escalation techniques and mandated reporting.
  • Represent the Cortica Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program professionally in all communications and interactions.
  • Occasionally perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with autism, is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in a human services field or related area is ideal; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) is preferred, or willingness to obtain BCAT certification through Cortica's training program.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including some late afternoons and evenings.
  • Possession of a valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in using software and systems, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient information is advantageous.

Compensation & Benefits:

Cortica values the well-being of each team member and fosters a supportive, growth-oriented culture. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid holidays, wellness days, life insurance, disability insurance options, tuition reimbursement for professional development, and referral bonuses. We recognize and appreciate the experience our teammates bring to their roles and are committed to providing a compensation and benefits package that enhances all aspects of their lives.

The base direct pay range for this position is $22.80 to $30.59, with compensation determined by relevant experience, education level, and location. The indirect pay for this role is $15.00 per hour.

We are an equal opportunity employer. This job posting is not intended to be an exhaustive list of the responsibilities and duties associated with the role.
