Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant Job Description

As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with Interim HealthCare, you will play a vital role in providing personalized, home-based physical therapy to patients who have lost mobility, strength, and functionality due to an illness or injury.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide home-based physical therapy to patients under the supervision of a treating Physical Therapist
  • Work as part of a home health team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Assist with documenting exercises and printing out exercises for patients as directed by the treating Physical Therapist
  • Participate in educating patients and their families on exercises and care under the supervision of the treating Physical Therapist
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program and active PTA license in Colorado
  • Minimum of one (1) year of physical therapy assistant experience, preferably in a home healthcare setting
  • CPR Certification (demonstration course required)
  • Pass a background check and drug test
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
