Key Responsibilities:

The Lead Industrial Security Specialist will be accountable for the comprehensive management and oversight of the security program, ensuring compliance with both corporate and client security mandates.

  • Prepare and submit necessary security documentation for personnel.
  • Facilitate precise clearance processing through the designated service center.
  • Offer technical security guidance across various disciplines, including personnel, physical, and operational security.
  • Disseminate security protocols, requirements, and procedural guidelines.
  • Conduct clearance and SCI briefings for staff members.
  • Ensure personnel are informed of their reporting obligations regarding foreign contacts, travel, and external activities.
  • Manage the renewal process for government contractor badges.
  • Safeguard and control sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) representatives to stay updated on current security regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of security actions in both digital and physical formats.
  • Coordinate with internal and external security entities.
  • Interpret security policies related to the handling of classified materials.
  • Oversee security operations and provide regular status updates and recommendations.
  • Develop and implement Security Awareness and Counterintelligence training programs.
  • Work with management to ensure clarity in program operations.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and related government regulations.
  • Proactive self-starter with a focus on customer service.
  • Dedication to security and delivering high-value solutions to clients.
  • Ability to interpret and apply security policies effectively.
  • Strong understanding of physical security requirements as per ICD 705.
  • Experience managing Sensitive Compartmented Information programs.
  • Familiarity with government and corporate security databases.
  • Proficient in consolidating SCI nomination packages and reviewing relevant forms.
  • Experience in conducting security briefings and training sessions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Security training or certifications (CPSO or CSSO).
  • Knowledge of courier preparation procedures.
  • Experience in developing security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Understanding of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems.
  • Experience with SCIF construction and ICD 705 certification.
  • Background in conducting security incident investigations.
  • Resourceful in problem-solving and seizing opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Communications Security (COMSEC).
  • Membership in security organizations or affiliations.
