Job Summary:

Soliant Health is seeking two dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to fill immediate openings at a school district. These positions entail working at one site serving students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade. Each SLPA will have a caseload of approximately 43 students and will work 6.5 hours per day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students across various grade levels, addressing articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication skills.
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring to identify students in need of speech and language services and to track their progress over time.
  • Work closely with teachers and other educational staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and support students' academic success.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, session notes, and relevant data in compliance with district and state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on home-based interventions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility for certification in the state of California.
  • Prior experience working in a school setting, preferably with a diverse caseload of students from TK-8.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload of approximately 43 students effectively.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques for addressing speech and language disorders in children and adolescents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, progress monitoring, and data collection to inform treatment planning and evaluate outcomes.
