Case Manager, Immigration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Case Manager to join our team at The GEO Group, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that provides intensive supervision and support services to individuals in immigration proceedings.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized case management plans for ISAP participants, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and program requirements.
- Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with participants, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Manage and maintain accurate and complete case records, utilizing all available tools and techniques to proactively manage cases.
- Install and monitor electronic monitoring equipment, ensuring participants' compliance with program requirements.
- Assist participants in acquiring travel documents, maintaining a log of travel document information for each participant.
- Evaluate English proficiency and coordinate translation services as needed, ensuring clear communication between staff and participants.
- Connect participants with community resources, including transportation, medical, food, shelter, clothing, educational, financial, legal, religious, and social adjustment resources.
- Supervise participants in Company offices, establishing schedules for counseling sessions, immigration court appearances, and access to legal services.
- Review individual service plans, conduct risk/needs assessments, and write progress reports on a regular basis, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Report program violations in a timely manner, utilizing established reporting parameters.
- Conduct home visits to verify participants' places of residence, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Perform emergency counseling as needed, providing support and guidance to participants in crisis situations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as sociology, psychology, social work, or criminal justice.
- At least two years of customer service or case management experience, with a preference for experience in fields related to law, social work, detention, corrections, or working with multicultural clients.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required, with the ability to interpret and articulate rules, orders, instructions, and materials.
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for home visits.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
- United States citizenship required, with a minimum of three years of residency in the U.S. within the last five years.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to compose reports and interpret electronic monitoring messages and daily summary reports.
- Basic knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures, with the ability to work with computers and necessary software.
- Typical office environment, with some local travel required.
- Use of standard office equipment, including copiers, computers, keyboards, telephones, and fax machines.
- Bending, stooping, and use of hands and fingers to place electronic monitoring equipment on participants.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance, enter and exit a car, and climb stairs multiple times in one day for home visits.
Competitive hourly rate of $23.25, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and a 401(k) retirement program with company match.
