About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Port Engineer to join our team at Alcatraz Cruises. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering projects, from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to company standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external contractors and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the marine industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including diesel engines and propulsion systems.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
