About the Role

The City of South St. Paul, MN is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Police Reserve Unit. As a Police Reserve Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the South St. Paul Police Department in various capacities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in crime scene protection and investigation
  • Participate in search and rescue operations
  • Direct traffic at accident or fire scenes
  • Provide routine limited squad patrol to include parks, schools, and other designated areas
  • Staff or provide security for community or school events
Requirements
  • Must be at least 19 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid Minnesota driver's license (Class D or higher) with a good driving record
  • Be able to perform duties without restriction
  • Prior first aid and/or law enforcement training is desirable but not required
