The City of South St. Paul, MN is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Police Reserve Unit. As a Police Reserve Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the South St. Paul Police Department in various capacities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in crime scene protection and investigation
- Participate in search and rescue operations
- Direct traffic at accident or fire scenes
- Provide routine limited squad patrol to include parks, schools, and other designated areas
- Staff or provide security for community or school events
- Must be at least 19 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Hold a valid Minnesota driver's license (Class D or higher) with a good driving record
- Be able to perform duties without restriction
- Prior first aid and/or law enforcement training is desirable but not required
- A comprehensive training program, including Field Training and Use of Force training
- A uniform and equipment package, including a jacket, hat, badge, and hand-held radio
