Hemodialysis Registered Professional Nurse Job Description

Job Summary:

The Hemodialysis Registered Professional Nurse is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing hemodialysis treatment. As a skilled nurse, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans for patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting self-care and independence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Approximately one year of nursing experience, with a focus on hemodialysis or critical care.
  • Successful completion of training in hemodialysis theory and practice.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance, when applicable for business travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Experience in ICU/CCU or hemodialysis settings.
  • Computer knowledge and proficiency in electronic medical records.
  • Successful completion of current CPR Healthcare Recognition according to the American Heart Association.
