The Mechanical Systems Designer will be responsible for the conceptualization and development of mechanical systems for packaging equipment, utilizing both existing designs and innovative solutions to achieve optimal performance while minimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design standard machinery solutions tailored to meet client packaging requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
- Employ advanced 3D solid modeling techniques to create mechanical designs that integrate industry standards and address evolving customer needs.
- Ensure precision in calculations related to kinematics, dynamics, pneumatics, and servo motion analysis necessary for the design of automation systems and machinery.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive mechanical bills of materials, ensuring structured documentation for production purposes.
- Produce detailed working drawings that facilitate cost-effective manufacturing practices.
- Conduct research on purchased mechanical components to ensure proper sizing and selection of devices.
- Develop assembly drawings for production and client reference, aiding in component identification.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing costs and enhancing the quality of mechanical designs for packaging machinery.
- Comprehend and address client mechanical specifications and requirements for their packaging operations. Collaborate with technical writers to produce machine documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the design of mechanical and pneumatic systems for packaging machinery is required.
- Proven design experience is essential.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software is necessary.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship. Only US citizens and Green Card holders will be considered. Relocation assistance is not provided for candidates outside the continental US.
