Sales Support Specialist

At Johnny's Selected Seeds, we're passionate about helping families, friends, and communities feed one another by providing superior seeds, tools, information, and service. As a Sales Support Specialist, you'll play a key role in enhancing commercial customer support and increasing sales.
Responsibilities:- Educate customers about our products and services to improve related sales and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and foster relationships with contacts within grower organizations.
- Provide backup for Sales Representatives during trade shows, farm visits, or other times out of the office.
- Maintain grower information, including discounts and special pricing.
- Sell and write orders for JSS products and services.
- Expedite orders, review rejected orders, and take steps to clear them.
- Communicate daily with Representatives.
- Maintain product and technical knowledge through educational meetings and national sales meetings.
- Assist in identifying customers with duplicate customer numbers and in de-duplication.
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Vegetable, herb, or flower growing/farming experience.
- Sense of urgency, aggressive follow-through, and sense of ownership for territories.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Clear and succinct written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact with multiple personalities and functional areas.
- Team player with the ability to work towards a common goal.
- Composed under fast-paced pressure situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS).
