Job Summary

Zachry Group is seeking a skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team. As a Millwright Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, dismantling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and assemble industrial machinery, including precision equipment, according to manufacturer's blueprints and drawings.
  • Use precision leveling and alignment tools to measure angles, material thickness, and small distances.
  • Dismantle machines using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment as needed.
  • Operate engine lathes, grinders, and files to fabricate and install parts, equipment, and machinery.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including lubrication and repair of worn parts.
  • Work closely with and oversee helper and labor positions as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4-5 years of industrial construction/maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Millwright experience in Power Generation Plants.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and layout tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Center for Construction Education and Research's (NCCER) Certification for Journeyman Industrial Millwright.
  • Zachry ROF'ed employee or former Zachry employee.
  • Basic computer efficiency and formal/technical education.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and work off of platforms.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
