Job Overview
Bioinformatics Algorithm Developer

The MD Anderson Cancer Center is looking for a highly skilled bioinformatician to develop and implement computational algorithms for next-generation sequencing data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology/genetics and significant hands-on experience in executing, troubleshooting, and developing computational algorithms/software's used for next generation sequencing studies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Designing and implementing new algorithms for mutation calling, copy number estimation, and RNAseq analysis.
  • Maintaining and improving existing software tools for solving specific problems.

Salary and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
