Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled Recreation Specialist to join our team at Children's Rescue Fund. As a Recreation Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing recreational activities for clients and their children in temporary shelter.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people, including clients, community partners, and staff. A strong background in recreation, youth development, or a related field is essential, with at least 6 months of experience working with families in need.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop Recreational Programs: Plan and implement engaging recreational activities for clients and their children, including trips, events, and workshops.
  2. Build Community Partnerships: Establish relationships with local community organizations, museums, and cultural institutions to provide opportunities for clients and their families.
  3. Manage Logistics: Coordinate transportation services, manage event logistics, and ensure smooth execution of all program activities.

Compensation: This full-time position offers a salary of $58,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • Successful completion of 2-hour Mandated Reporter training course
  • At least 6 months related work experience
  • Able to work evening and weekends as needed
