Job Summary:

New-Indy Catawba, LLC is seeking a skilled Production Utility to join our team at the Catawba Mill in Catawba, SC. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our paper mill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist other operators in upset conditions as needed, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Operate the roll splitter, lift trucks, and other equipment as required.
  • Transport rolls to the splitter area and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform equipment wash-ups and clean-ups as directed, and supply production areas with needed materials.
  • Assist on the paper-machine during condition upset and on scheduled outages, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED at minimum required.
  • Successfully complete work-keys skills assessment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents, navigate reporting software platforms, and apply concepts of math and computer skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, hot and/or cold conditions, and occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and vibrations.
