Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at THE NEW-INDY GROUP. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical power systems, instrumentation, and equipment in our plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, use meters, meggers, power analyzers, phase meters, and other test equipment to maintain and troubleshoot electrical power systems, instrumentation, and equipment.
  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance duties to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with process and project engineers to install new equipment and modify existing equipment.
  • Assist other team members in the mill as needed to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
  • Comply with all company policies, local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Communicate closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members on work progress.
  • Assist in the education of other team members to develop a multi-functional maintenance department.
  • Assist manufacturing teams in process troubleshooting.
  • Coach safety in others and lead by example.
  • Maintain and develop team relationships.
  • Install, remove, rig, align, or change out electrical distribution panels, transformers, motors, starters, breakers.
  • Develop and stay current in cross-functional maintenance skills.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Industrial Electronics, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years related industry experience with a stable work history.
  • Ability to operate industrial machinery and testing/measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to operate industrial machinery and electrical testing/measuring instruments.
  • Functional knowledge of basic computer systems (Microsoft Office products).
  • Ability to work at various heights up to 120 in a lift and up to 240 on a platform.
  • Ability to withstand working in various temperature and weather conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include overtime.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and self-directed.
  • Proficiency in mathematics, locating information, and reading for information.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
