Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned and proactive Senior Human Resources Manager to oversee and direct all aspects of human resources and labor relations within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strategic thinking capabilities along with a profound understanding of HR practices, employment legislation, and labor relations. This role is essential in cultivating a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance, and spearheading HR initiatives that align with our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Strategy Development:

- Formulate and execute HR strategies and initiatives that are in sync with the overall business strategy.
- Provide strategic counsel and insights on all HR-related matters to senior leadership.
- Lead organizational development initiatives, including succession planning and talent management.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

- Supervise the recruitment and selection process to attract high-caliber talent.
- Manage onboarding and orientation processes to ensure seamless integration of new hires.
- Develop and implement performance management systems to promote employee growth and development.

Employee Relations:

- Act as a primary resource for employee relations concerns, offering guidance and resolution.
- Implement and oversee employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive workplace.
- Conduct investigations and resolve conflicts in accordance with company policies and legal standards.

Labor Relations:

- Oversee labor relations functions, including negotiations, contract management, and dispute resolution.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with unions and employee representatives.
- Ensure adherence to collective bargaining agreements and labor regulations.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Direct the development and management of compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure competitive and equitable pay structures that reflect market trends.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits and wellness initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and mitigate HR-related risks, including overseeing safety and workers' compensation programs.

Training and Development:

- Design and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
- Oversee leadership development and succession planning initiatives.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

- Provide regular updates to senior management on HR activities, trends, and compliance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in human resources management, particularly in labor relations.
- Proven experience in labor negotiations and managing union relationships.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and labor regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor HR teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is advantageous.
