Job Summary
The Financial Representative role at Western & Southern Life is a dynamic position that requires a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills. As a Financial Representative, you will be responsible for meeting the middle-income client needs for risk protection, financial security, and wealth creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify market opportunities and develop effective marketing plans.
- Prospect and network with middle-market clients to identify qualified leads.
- Secure appointments with prospective and existing clients to discuss sales, conservation, and service opportunities.
- Prepare for appointments using established processes and consultative practices.
- Effectively sell insurance and investment solutions to clients.
- Plan and schedule sales, marketing, and service activities for the week and foreseeable future.
- Market the Western & Southern Life brand at the local level and develop community relationships.
- Maintain personal contact with clients to ensure their evolving financial needs are being met.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate client and company records, payments, etc., in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High level of integrity and strong work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship, and influence skills.
- Effective communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing.
- Ability to analyze client needs, understand financial products, and sell tailored solutions.
- Ability to influence others to take needed action.
- Demonstrate personal drive and resilience to achieve goals.
- Willing and able to network for new clients.
Educational Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Computer Skills and Knowledge
- Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Working knowledge of internet and email.
Certifications & Licenses
- State Life and Health license prior to hire.
- FINRA SIE, Series 6 and Series 63 within one year of employment.
