GIS Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team at the City of Plantation - FL. As a GIS Analyst, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our geographic information systems, ensuring that our data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of the City's GIS, including the creation and maintenance of GIS datasets.
• Prepare thematic maps and presentation displays based on demographic data and land information.
• Create and maintain geodatabases for water, sewer, and stormwater utilities.
• Maintain City-wide geodatabases.
• Coordinate and maintain computer input and processing of geospatial and relational data for the GIS system.

• Knowledge of GIS principles and data structures.
• Knowledge and working experience with asset management systems.
• Knowledge and working experience with water, sewer, and stormwater modeling systems.
• Knowledge and experience collecting field data using GPS equipment and post-processing processes.
• Knowledge of appropriate laws, rules, regulations, and procedures governing City operations.

• Graduation from a two-year accredited college or university with major coursework in any GIS or related field.
• Some additional engineering, utilities, and/or technical training related to infrastructure projects.
