As a key member of the Tesla team, you will be responsible for managing the product development of our next generation seating platforms, new products, and future seat programs. This includes coordinating all aspects of a program regarding timing, quality, and cost, as well as maintaining and adjusting the overall program schedule.

You will work closely with multiple departments, including Creative Studio, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Launch, Manufacturing, Finance, and the Program Management team to ensure the best possible value for Tesla in terms of funding requirements and part costs.

  • Track, report, and maintain statuses and investigations of schedule, mass, and cost.
  • Coordinate, manage, and track multiple design iterations with CAE and Manufacturing team for design validation.
  • Work with other engineering program leaders to coordinate and manage prototype development, schedule, and builds.
  • Establish, organize, and track physical design validation targets and test cases for new product introduction.
  • Define, drive, and implement program requirements from Concept to mass production and sustaining.
  • Derive workflows, timelines, communications/channels, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Define critical paths and any other issues that arise for the launch and validation of new seating systems and components in all Tesla factory locations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in automotive program management proven by successful model launch(es).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Expected Compensation: $88,000 - $300,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits.
