Product Development Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at Lam Research. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for driving product development at the forefront of the semiconductor equipment industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in global platform field escalations, emphasizing in Lam platforms on Etch, Deposition and Clean products.
- Acquire and apply engineering theories and problem-solving skills in defining problems, investigation, troubleshooting, analyzing results, and providing recommendations to resolution of technical problems.
- Conduct and design well-defined experiments and tests pertaining to the development of new methods, hardware, standards, modification of current material, components, software, or resolution of complex technical problems.
- Generate clear and concise reports to justify technical recommendations.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, assuring proper release and hand-off of solutions to field support organizations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of semiconductor equipment field product support experience, Automation and Robotics experience a plus.
- BS degree in Engineering or equivalent, higher engineering degree a plus.
- Creative thinking, strong problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to complete projects and learn the required skills with minimal guidance.
- Previous experience in individual project management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior product design, Automation and Robotics experience is beneficial.
- Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
- Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
