About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to provide direct support to students with special needs in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with school district staff to develop and implement instructional training activities and materials.
  • Assist with classroom activities, including adaptive devices and equipment, to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in program planning meetings and contribute to the development of effective behavior management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with school staff and parents.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; or proof of an A.A. degree, 48 college units; or pass the Paraeducator Exam.
  • Recent experience working with groups, such as youth groups, child centers, or playgrounds, and/or experience requiring organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions within established guidelines, and adapt to individual needs of students and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
