Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our PHP/IOP team, providing psychiatric care to adolescents in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our mental health team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Conduct initial evaluations and assessments of residents with mental or emotional problems.
- Provide counseling and psychotherapy to adolescent residents in distress.
- Collaborate with the mental health team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Review medical concerns and history for potential residents, ensuring medical clearance for admission.
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
- Liaise with staff, including the Medical Director and Clinical Director, to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Document patient encounters through weekly progress notes and EMR.
- Coordinate psychology services with direct care and clinical staff as indicated.
- Assist with patient admissions, including initial evaluations and assessment documentation.
- Provide collateral/liaison contact to patient families.
- Assist with utilization reviews for clients.
- Maintain excellent communication with other members of the clinical team.
- Complete discharge recommendation assessments as part of collaborative discharge summaries.
- Doctorate in Medicine (MD).
- Board Certified in Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry.
- Licensed in the State for which you are applying.
- Experience with adolescent psychiatry preferred.
