Job Title: Clinical Educator

We are seeking a highly organized and qualified individual to join our team as a Clinical Educator. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating staff development programs to promote high-quality, continuing professional development for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess current and future needs on clinical-care and non-clinical-care educational requirements
  • Develop, conduct, and evaluate orientation programs for new staff members
  • Monitor nursing skills, practices, and procedures to develop training and competencies
  • Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs to ensure compliance with State Regulations and Miami Jewish policies
  • Provide trainings related to clinical systems used for documentation and reporting
  • Oversee CPR program for MJHS and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Participate in Organizational-wide activities to ensure compliance in various areas
  • Maintain training and continuing education records
  • Serve as a liaison with clinical school programs and coordinate scheduling of their clinical rotations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, education, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience as a RN
  • One-year of clinical education and staff development experience preferred
  • Clinical experience with the geriatric population preferred
  • Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
  • American Heart Association BLS Instructor within 6 months of hire
  • Valid Florida Driver's License & Proof of insurance
Abilities and Skills:
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and development skills
  • Knowledge of alternative training methods
  • Ability to address and direct groups of up to 100 persons
  • Cognitive, effective, and psychomotor skills necessary to provide clinical instruction
  • Computer skills, research, and basic statistical knowledge preferred
Work Environment:

Normal working condition with adequate lighting and ventilation. Utilizes clinical equipment, computer equipment, office machines, projectors, and television. Lifts objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Transports wheeled equipment with and without assistance. Routine exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissues.
