Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold safety as a core value by executing all tasks in a secure manner and actively engaging in safety initiatives.
  • Oversee both on-site and off-site inventory, including raw materials and finished products, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Create daily flow plans for finished goods utilizing SAP software.
  • Manage the trailer pool effectively to meet daily targets at both the mill and external storage facilities.
  • Coordinate transportation activities using Trailer Management for various material types.
  • Monitor production rates through PIMS to adjust orders as necessary.
  • Schedule customer order loading and stock transfers via SAP Outbound Shipping Monitor.
  • Provide guidance to third-party contractors, addressing any safety concerns that may arise.
  • Familiarize yourself with all material flow processes and instruct contractors on internal controls and loading protocols.
  • Supervise the driver check-in process.
  • Ensure timely receipt of all incoming materials in SAP.
  • Prioritize unloading operations to minimize trailer detention.
  • Adhere to after-hours receiving protocols.
  • Assist the mill during off shifts to facilitate the entry of vital supplies.
  • Utilize PIMS to oversee asset production and adjust carrier pickup times as required.
  • Generate load-ahead reports to ensure availability for loading.
  • Coordinate the loading of parent rolls to align with the paper machine schedule.
  • Communicate any shipping discrepancies with Central Transportation.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Engage with other administrative staff, technicians, and resources.
  • Lead task forces and liaise with all departments within the mill.
  • Participate in the Loudon Mill High-Performance Work System.
  • Contribute to other Material Flow functions as needed.

Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (6:00 am – 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm – 6:00 am), following the operational shift pattern.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Have at least 1 year of continuous work experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and strong math abilities are required.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Focused on continuous improvement with a proactive approach to enhancing processes.
  • Able to maintain a flexible work schedule, including 12-hour rotating shifts.
  • Must pass pre-employment assessments and screenings.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP, and related applications is preferred.
