Dialysis Technician Position

Job Summary:
Dialysis Technician Position at HealthAlliance Hospital. We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide patient care activities and related non-professional services for chronic hemodialysis patients under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and document ongoing care of the Dialysis patient.
- Assist with data collection and monitoring for P.I.
- Ensure cultural practices are addressed and supported without harming others or interfering with medical treatment.
- Maintain a clean environment and adhere to infection control practices.
- Act as a preceptor to new dialysis technicians.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year hospital or dialysis experience.
- BLS certification.
- National Dialysis Technician certification within 18 months of hire.
- Successful completion of hospital basic clinical patient care technician program and probationary period as a hemodialysis machine technician.
Work Environment:
The employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation.
The employee must have the ability to speak, hear, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and policy and procedure manuals.
Works on computer frequently.
