Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Quality Control Processor to join our team at Stock Yards Bank & Trust. As a key member of our loan operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing General Ledger balancing, Doc Prep and Servicing procedures to ensure compliance with established SOX controls, regulatory and Mortgage Servicing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze system reports for data integrity and timeliness of resolutions
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of files post-closing to mitigate potential risk and exposure
  • Validate policies and procedures to ensure adherence to Loan Policy and Regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and submit written reports of reviews to supervisor, including findings and recommended actions
  • Identify and recommend improvements in procedures and controls
  • Test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over loan processing and servicing
  • Review and analyze monthly delinquency reporting of consumer mortgage loans to upper management and outside agencies
  • Process payoffs of consumer loans
  • Review credit bureau reporting, inquiries and disputes of consumer loans to ensure compliance with federal regulations
  • Verify consumer verification of mortgages, consumer insurance claims, requests for re-amortization and removal of PMI and/or escrow
  • Conduct special projects/audits as directed by the Assistant Director of Operations
  • Provide assistance to internal and external auditors and state/federal regulators during their examination of the bank
Requirements
  • High School/GED education, some college preferred
  • Bank or financial service loan operations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of bank policies, procedures and federal regulations is helpful
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies and procedures and banking government regulations
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from internal audit, regulatory agencies and outside consultants
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to tactfully communicate with and gain respect of all employees

Physical Requirements

This position requires sitting the majority of the time at a computer with limited walking and standing. All work occurs indoors and within regular working hours.
