SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for executing routine upkeep and repairs. This role encompasses both minor and major preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, as well as troubleshooting minor equipment issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, and machinery repair or replacement. The engineer will also support departmental projects, manage cosmetic repairs to facility finishes, and assist in various aspects of facilities maintenance as directed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitate training and onboarding for both existing and new team members. Perform significant maintenance and repairs on facility equipment as required, including HVAC systems. Propose enhancements for operational efficiency. Responsible for comprehensive facilities maintenance, including but not limited to:
  • Diagnosing and repairing or replacing a malfunctioning rooftop unit compressor.
  • Conducting routine inspections of all lighting fixtures across the property, identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Responding to maintenance requests and internal calls within the designated timeframe.
  • Overseeing pool maintenance (if applicable) as assigned.
  • Working autonomously while informing supervisors of any additional support needed.
  • Maintaining a tidy, organized workspace within the engineering shop.
  • Completing daily work documentation.
  • Keeping up-to-date knowledge of all relevant rules, regulations, and controls.
  • Complying with safety policies and OSHA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required; an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent certification in HVAC is preferred. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, air-conditioning maintenance, Rational Combination Ovens, Ice Machines, and Chiller Plants. A minimum of 5 years of trade experience, apprenticeship, or on-the-job training is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications such as HVACR Certification, EPA I & II or Universal license, Certified Pool Operator, RPZ Inspection, Building Controls, Life Safety Controls, and CFESA Certification are preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.

Candidates must successfully complete a physical abilities test for essential job functions, including a color vision test.

This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related materials. Capability to respond to common inquiries from colleagues or guests.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in various units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
