Job Summary

As a Patient Access Representative at Christus Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience. This position requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Accurately register patients, collect demographic and financial information, and schedule appointments in a timely manner.
  • Insurance Verification and Authorization: Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Assessment and Collections: Calculate and collect patient portions, including prior balances, and perform financial assessments for program assistance.
  • Document Management: Obtain patient signatures on necessary hospital documents and maintain accurate records.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and insurance companies, and represent the Patient Access department in a professional manner.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility: Collaborate with the healthcare team, adapt to changing priorities, and support the flexible needs of the department to accommodate patient volume.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1-3 years of experience preferred.
