Job Summary

As a key member of the Vitality Works team, the Inventory Control Tech I plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes. This position is responsible for performing timely and accurate inventory transactions, including issuing and reserving materials to jobs, processing and closing manufacturing jobs, and recording production quantities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform electronic transactions for issuing/reserving materials to jobs, recording production quantities produced, and processing and closing manufacturing jobs.
* Move inventory (physically/electronically) and troubleshoot variances.
* Confirm the validity of transactions by checking items, lots, and quantities transacted against manufacturing records.
* Interact with various departments (primarily manufacturing and quality) to collect data and input for resolving problems in data entry.
* Perform mathematical calculations, including density conversions and ratios.
* Locate and count materials for stock checks, labeling, expiration dating, and other tasks.
* Conduct regular cycle counts based on computer-generated count suggestions and participate in periodic physical inventory counts.
* Identify inventory discrepancies, investigate potential causes, and recommend corrective action.

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent and equivalent background and experience.
* Experience working with computer-based inventory management software is helpful.
* Good communication skills with fluency in English (verbal and written).
* Good math skills, including density conversions, ratios, percentages, and basic math.
* Fluent computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel), keyboarding.
* Experience with manufacturing/distribution software or general business software is a plus.
* Ability to quickly and completely solve problems and/or elevate to a higher level for resolution.
* Self-starter and ability to follow oral and written directions.
* Some knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, or distribution environments is helpful.
