Job Title: Identity Management Consultant

Job Summary

This role is responsible for driving the future vision, strategy realization, technology roadmaps, and innovation initiatives across the Identity & Access Management (IAM) landscape. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day activities of a team of technical specialists and managed services providers responsible for the enterprise IAM capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines and advice on conflicting priorities.
  • Understand the overall organizational vision and collaborate with management to set team goals and establish product roadmaps in alignment with the client's strategic vision that translate into actionable plans at the team level.
  • Maintain a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and lead the team through periods of change and transformation.
  • Build, collaborate, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, strategic partners, and vendors to identify technology needs and opportunities and work with internal IT groups to provide effective solutions to address business needs.
  • Foster a business-oriented focus and culture, working closely with business and IT management to establish priorities and deliver solutions that best support the business needs and enable future enterprise capabilities.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of technology systems, implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive information and prevent disruptions.
  • Plan, resource, and provide direction and technical leadership for low- to medium-complexity IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and management of the department (IAM) budget, tracking expenses and actual costs throughout the year, and ensure that resources are allocated effectively to meet business requirements.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technology trends, industry advancements, and regulatory changes, and make recommendations for adopting new technologies to improve operational efficiency and knowledge sharing for effective collaboration with the client groups.
  • Assess and identify technology needs and opportunities, making recommendations for system enhancements, upgrades, or replacements.
  • Develop, maintain, and update operational processes as capabilities mature within IT and drive adoption of Zero Trust principles.
  • Partner with leadership to develop strong business cases for technology initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards that are in line with area of responsibility and industry standards.
  • Responsible for recruitment, development, retention, performance management of talent to meet needs of the business.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.
  • 10+ years of diversified IT experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience directly leading professional staff required.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator preferred.
