As a Petroleum Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising and managing the reception, storage, and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum products. This includes operating specialized pumping equipment to load trucks, ships, trains, and aircraft, as well as testing petroleum samples for contamination and repairing specialized equipment.

Advanced Petroleum Logistics Coordinators will take on management duties, such as supervising and training other Soldiers, assigning duties, and spot-checking work quality. They will also ensure adherence to safety procedures and storage guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and stock bulk and packaged products
  • Issue and dispense bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities to using units

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Interest in shop mechanics and business math
  • Enjoy physical work
  • Ability to operate airplane refueling systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling petroleum transport

Career Opportunities:

As a Petroleum Logistics Coordinator, you will develop valuable skills and experience in the logistics industry. You will be eligible for a civilian career with oil refineries, pipeline companies, and tanker truck and ship lines.
