Position Overview

ProCare Therapy is currently looking for a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in a school setting.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Work 37.5 hours per week throughout the academic year.
  • Manage a dynamic daily schedule and caseload, which will vary based on evaluations and referrals.
  • Conduct over 100 evaluations annually with a strong emphasis on assessment.
  • Support universal behavioral and academic systems within the school environment.
Candidate Expectations

We are looking for individuals who can:

  • Facilitate the understanding of mental health and trauma among children and their families.
  • Perform Functional Behavioral Analyses (FBAs).
  • Develop Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Accurately complete IDEA due process for eligibility determinations.
  • Act as the LEA representative in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Section 504 Plan meetings.
Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • A Master's Degree in School Psychology or an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology.
  • Knowledge of assessment procedures and tools suitable for students aged 3-21.
  • Experience with special education and multicultural issues, procedures, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with current research-based universal screening and progress monitoring instruments.
