About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pre-Service Specialist to join our team at Elliot Health System. As a key member of our Patient Access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-register patients, verify insurance eligibility, and collect patient responsibility amounts for services provided throughout the EHS enterprise.
  • Establish contact with patients via inbound and outbound calls to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  • Work in Pre-Registration work queues to pre-register patients for future dates of service.
  • Provide notification of admission to payers within 24 hours of admission for inpatient stays.
  • Identify patients requiring payment assistance options and facilitate communication between patients and EHS Financial Counselors.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required.
  • One (1) year of healthcare experience in Patient Access Registration, Pre-Registration, or insurance verification, Preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC, Preferred.
