Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital. As a CT Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for producing high-quality computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body
  • Position patients using immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging
  • Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance
  • Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures
  • Expose and develop film
  • Operate mobile equipment in operating rooms, emergency departments, or at patient bedsides
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient information using computerized documentation systems
  • Utilize knowledge of age-specific patient needs in performance of duties and responsibilities
  • Orient and mentor new staff members
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
  • Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material
  • Assist with transporting patients
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Requirements
  • One year of experience in Radiology or MRI preferred
  • Prefer specific experience and training in CT Scan
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Florida State License in Radiologic Technology
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • ARRT certification in Radiology and CT, preferred
